Benihana celebrates its 55th anniversary this year and is embarking on identifying and securing new destinations for expansion. Benihana first opened its doors back in 1964 with just four tables to entertain guests when iconic founder Hiroki ‘Rocky’ Aoki launched the brand. There are three restaurants in London (Piccadilly, Chelsea and St Paul’s) and a further 17 beyond in Asia, Europe, the Middle East and North America. Two new restaurants in Egypt and Mexico are set to open in 2019.
